I really love Stravaganza: City of Stars by Mary Hoffman, and the rest of the series. I just read it for a third time. It's about an English boy named Lucien who travels to an alternate universe that is similar to Italy in the 15th century. When he's in his own world he's battleing cancer, but when he travels to the other world he's better again. I recomend it to people who like fantasy and adventure.

Something else that's really cool is www.goodreads.com, it's basically a networking site for book lovers. If you set up an account you can make a list of all the books you've read and want to read. It also has chat rooms so you can talk about your favorite books with other fans.

A child called it by Dave Pelzer

I think the book "A Child Called it" by Dave Pelzer is very good. Its about a young boy, Dave that gets harsh beatings, treatments, and abuse from his mother. Its also about how he survived it all. I would recommened this book to people who like reading about true stories but not to people who cant handle graphic images.
